Let Me Count the Ways Horsham

VCA & MCM graduate Renae Shadler (School of Theatre) with recent graduates Robert Jordan (School of Production) and Rani Pramesti (School of Theatre) facilitated the state-wide project ʻLet Me Count The Waysʼ (LMCTW) in Horsham, in partnership with Art Is… Festival.

Over the opening weekend of the festival, 30 May – 2 June 2014, the group set up a mobile documentation booth that traveled to four different sites within Horshamʼs CBD. Sites included the Art Is… Festival Hub, Horsham Plaza, CWA Hall and Redrock Books & Gallery. Renae, Rani and Robert invited locals to share what they loved about their town by filling out a LMCTW system card and then choosing how to document their response in a way that could be shared on the internet via the LMCTW website.

The artists assisted the contributors by documenting their responses using video cameras, sound recorders and inviting them to email drawings, paintings and photos that they wished to share. The project was very successful with over 130 people participating. The system card box was gifted to the Art Is… Festival who plan to display it in Horshamʼs local library.
